January Recap

Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones, but looking back at 2024 pictures of my sweet boy makes me sentimental! He is growing up so fast and although I love watching him grow, it breaks my heart at the same time! So for 2025, I’m going to try to do better of sharing monthly recaps and all the life things so I always have these memories to look back on.

We kicked off the New Year with our best friends! We ate finger foods (my favorite), let the boys play, had a balloon drop, and us moms made prayer journals. The dads watched some sporting event on tv and refereed the boys in the bounce house.

I started “nesting” to get ready for sissy, so we got her wall in their room painted, cleaned out and organized all the things, packed our bags, and made sure we had all the essentials! Kobe is so excited to be a big brother and I can’t wait to watch him transition into this new role.

I’ve read that big siblings can sense/feed off of mamas oxytocin and I definitely think that’s true. Kobe has been extra sweet and snuggly to everyone. He really loves to wrap us up in big hugs and say “my mama” or “my dada” and for us to wrap him up and say “my Kobe”!

We went to see Mufusa in theaters. Kobe got a new Spider-Man robe. We have been to lots of basketball games. Kobe started his gymnastics class where he goes back all by himself, no mama, and he did so good!

Kobe’s first real snow day was a hit! Micah had to work so Pops chauffeured us back and forth to Cookies to play with everyone. We made colorful snow volcanoes, a big snowman, threw countless snowballs, and watched the big kids sled! Kobe and Buck even had a small collision that left Kobe with a bloody nose, but that didn’t slow him down any.

We started going to the baby doctor every week! Kobe and Micah haven’t missed a single appointment. Kobe loves to check on sissy and hear her heartbeat! He also has made friends with the receptionist and she always has him a sucker and some stickers.

We finally got some sunshine so we took full advantage and played outside every chance we could! Daddy, Micah, Justin, and Jase went on a fishing trip for Jases birthday. Levi and Kobe went on their own little fishing adventure.

My sweet family threw me a small baby sprinkle to welcome our Lettie girl! My sister hosted and it was perfect, even though we all did a terrible job of taking pictures. While we were doing all the shower things, the boys took off to Main Event for pizza and games.

And to wrap up the month, Kobe went on his first “hunt”, we celebrated Cookie at Ninja and Kobe drank all the miso soup, we had our maternity pictures (and yes, Kobe made that face the whole time!), Kobe had his three year well check, and us girls all took off to Nashville for the night to see Kelsea Ballerini in concert (BIG thank you to GraGra and Pops for the tickets!!).
